Aquafil S.p.A. is a pioneer in the circular economy also thanks to the ECONYL® regeneration system, an innovative and sustainable process able to create new products from waste and give life to an endless cycle. The polymers produced from ECONYL® caprolactam are distributed to the Group’s production plants, where they are transformed into yarn for rugs carpet flooring and for clothing. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- synthetic yarns (73.6%): mainly intended for the textile flooring sector;
- nylon textile fibers (18.6%): for the clothing sector (sportswear, classic, technical or specialist apparel);
- polymers (7.8%): for the engineering plastics sector.
At the end of 2023, the group had 19 production sites worldwide.
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Europe/Middle East/Africa (51.6%), North America (32%), Asia and Oceania (16.1%) and other (0.3%).
