Deutsche Lufthansa AG is one the world's largest airline company. Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- air transportation (50.7%): 46.9 million passengers transported in 2021;
- logistic services (22.4%);
- maintenance and leasing services (18.5%): repairs, maintenance, and leasing of aircraft, engines, and airline equipment;
- on-board catering services (6.5%);
- other (1.9%).
At the end of 2021, the group had a fleet of 713 aircrafts broken down between German Airlines (389), SWISS (107), Eurowings (100), Austrian Airlines (61), Brussels Airlines (41) and Lufthansa Cargo (15).
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Europe (57.3%), North America (20.7%), Asia/Pacific (14.6%), Central and South America (2.6%), Middle East (2.6%) and Africa (2.2%).
