Milan slides but Europe plummets

News Image (Teleborsa) - Piazza Affari weakens, while the other European markets are firmly down. On Wall Street, the S&P-500 is trading lower.

EUR / USD climbs a tad to 1.072. Gold is slightly up at 2,330.5 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil is slightly down at 82.47 dollars per barrel.

The Spread is broadly on the previous day's level as it settles at +137 basis points, while the Italy ten-year BTP is at +3.98%.

Among the European indices, Frankfurt is struggling, -0.95% down, London advances +0.48%, and Paris suffers losses of 0.93%.

A day of gloom for the Borsa Italiana as the FTSE MIB drops -0.97%; similarly, investors sell as the FTSE Italia All-Share closes down at 36,068 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap slips a fraction (-0.52%), as the FTSE Italia Star spirals down (-0.78%).

Among Italy's best performing large-caps, a positive performance for Bper, which advances by a notable +1.92%.

Stmicroelectronics edges higher, showing an increase of 0.98%.

A positive result for Hera, which inches up +0.83%.

ERG is essentially healthy, gaining +0.83%.

Moncler reports the heaviest losses, ending the session -3.05% down.

Investors hurry to sell as Nexi declines -2.98%.

Leonardo plunges -2.55% on intense selling.

Investors are selling as DiaSorin records a -2.46% fall.

Comer Industries (+1.81%), Philogen (+1.68%), Buzzi (+1.21%) and El.En (+0.88%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

Industrie De Nora sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -3.05% lower.

Carel Industries shows a negative session -2.38% down.

Troubled LU-VE Group falls -2.3%.

Fincantieri is down, with a net loss of 2.19%.
