Markets weak, but Milan avoids sell-offs

News Image (Teleborsa) - European bourses close the trading session on a downward note, while Piazza Affari resists the downdraft. Wall Street stocks are substantially weaker, with the S&P-500 registering a decrease of 0.38%.

EUR / USD is essentially stable at previous levels, finishing at 1.066. Gold trades slightly up at 2,394.9 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil rises +0.41% to 83.07 dollars per barrel.

The Spread remains unchanged at +140 basis points, while the Italy ten-year BTP is at +3.89%.

Among the markets of the Old Continent, tottering Frankfurt dips -0.56%, London records a fairly pedestrian increase of +0.24%, and Paris is basically unchanged, reporting a scant -0.01% variation.

The Borsa Italiana closes flat, with the FTSE MIB settling at 33,922 points; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share has neither shame nor gain as it closes unchanged at 36,023 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap ends negative (-0.81%); on the same trend direction, the FTSE Italia Star finishes just below the flatline (-0.59%).

Terna (+2.20%), DiaSorin (+1.79%), Enel (+1.41%) and Finecobank (+1.40%) among the top performers in Milan.

Stmicroelectronics sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -2.29% lower.

Saipem is struggling, -2.1% down.

Iveco suffers losses of 1.51%.

Leonardo is definitely weaker with a -1.32% decrease.

Digital Value (+2.50%), OVS (+2.15%), Banca Ifis (+1.70%) and MutuiOnline (+1.47%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

Juventus reports the heaviest losses, ending the session -3.19% down.

Investors hurry to sell as Tamburi declines -3.08%.

SOL plunges -2.96% on intense selling.

Investors are selling as Technoprobe records a -2.93% fall.
