Borsa Italiana sees moderate losses

News Image (Teleborsa) - Piazza Affari slips fractionally, while Euroland creeps up. In the United States, the S&P-500 lacks direction.

There is no significant change for EUR / USD which, at 1.075, is traded around previous levels. Gold is slightly up at 2,319.7 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil is on the plus side, rising +0.77%.

The Spread is at +133 basis points, near the previous day's level, while the ten-year BTP settles at +3.77%.

Among the markets of the Old Continent, Frankfurt performs modestly, showing a moderate +0.37% rise, resilient London registers a small increase of 0.49%, and Paris advances +0.69%.

Piazza Affari closes fractionally lower as the FTSE MIB sheds -0.27%; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share comes under sell-off pressure as it closes at 36,388 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap slips below the flatline with a drop of -0.24%; the FTSE Italia Star lacks direction (-0.12%).

Leonardo (+2.75%), Terna (+2.45%), Interpump Group (+1.52%) and Recordati (+1.39%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Pirelli & C reports the heaviest losses, ending the session -2.62% down.

Stmicroelectronics is struggling, -2.23% down.

Saipem suffers losses of 2.18%.

Investors hurry to sell as Campari declines -2.04%.

Intercos (+5.51%), MFE A (+2.77%), MutuiOnline (+2.67%) and OVS (+1.88%) are among Italy's top mid-cap stocks.

Industrie De Nora has the worst performance, closing -6.50% down.

An ugly performance for Maire Tecnimont, which registers a -6.14% loss.

Ariston Holding plunges -3.56% on intense selling.

Investors are selling as Cementir records a -2.7% fall.
