Course overview
Designed to give Company Secretaries, Senior Management and Board Directors an introductory and in-depth facilitated session that will enable them to better understand the evolution of governance requirements, current international best practices as well as how to facilitate effective governance delivery.
The session covers the breadth of corporate governance policy, compliance and disclosure practices, with latest developments in the governance field, evolving best practices in governance reporting as well as exploring aspects of company culture and leadership styles. The session offers a wealth of case study materials and real life examples. Central to this session is the fund manager led discussion which will provide an excellent opportunity to hear first-hand how and why effective governance and its reporting really is important.

Course Tutor
Claire Fargeot is a non-executive director and an associate of the Strathclyde Business School Centre for Board and Director Development, working as a consulting adviser with listed, as well as entrepreneurial or private companies, to improve their governance, sustainability, and reporting practices. As well as delivering impactful governance training around the world on behalf of the London Stock Exchange and Euronext, she regularly conducts board evaluations and governance due diligence on behalf of investors. She is also an expert witness in capital markets and an associate lecturer at Nottingham Business School.
