European bourses negative. Milan holds steady

News Image (Teleborsa) - The major European markets dip into negative terrain, while Piazza Affari manages to avoid a selling spree, ending the session near the flatline. The stars and stripes market is essentially healthy, with the S&P-500 registering a modest gain of 0.47%.

EUR / USD is essentially stable at previous levels, finishing at 1.071. Gold loses a lot of ground, retracing by -0.86% to trade at 2,298.3 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil loses a lot of ground, retracing by -0.67% to trade at 78.47 dollars per barrel.

The Spread is broadly on the previous day's level as it settles at +130 basis points, while the Italy ten-year BTP is at +3.83%.

Among the major European bourses, Frankfurt contracts moderately by -0.2%, London advances +0.63%, and Paris is down, with a net loss of 0.88%.

In Milan, Piazza Affari closes at previous levels, reporting a -0.03% change; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share (Milan) hovers around previous levels, closing at 35,931 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is practically unchanged (+0.03%); on the same line, the FTSE Italia Star holds the line (-0.08%).

MPS Bank (+5.12%), Pirelli & C (+2.08%), Ferrari (+2.04%) and Banco Bpm (+1.84%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Stellantis reports the heaviest losses, ending the session -4.31% down.

Stmicroelectronics is firmly in the red, showing a fall of 3.67%.

DiaSorin trades negative, losing -2.97%.

ENI plunges -2.06%.

Juventus (+2.41%), ENAV (+2.33%), Danieli & C (+2.16%) and Intercos (+2.13%) are among Italy's top mid-cap stocks.

Fincantieri sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -5.49% lower.

Maire Tecnimont collapses (-4.04%).

SOL declines by a notable -3.04%.

Pharmanutra is struggling, -2.81% down.
