Day to forget for the European markets
(Teleborsa) - Trading comes to a dramatic close for the markets of the Old Continent, including Milan, as they all finish in the red. Meanwhile, the US stock market is trading lower.EUR / USD trades fractionally lower in this session, shedding -0.34% so far. A day to forget for gold, which retraces -1.6% to trade at 2,297.6 dollars per ounce. Investors sell as Light Sweet Crude Oil slides to 81.9 dollars per barrel.
The Spread is at +131 basis points, near the previous day's level, while the ten-year BTP settles at +3.87%.
Among the European indices, Frankfurt suffers losses of 1.03%, London trades firm at -0.04%, and investors hurry to sell as Paris declines -0.99%.
A black day for the Milan bourse which dives -1.6%; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share collapses, losing -1.53% to close at 35,940 points.
The FTSE Italia Mid Cap closes in the red (-0.78%); similarly, the FTSE Italia Star descends -0.8%.
Finecobank (+1.65%), Bper (+1.52%), Recordati (+1.27%) and MPS Bank (+1.25%) among the top performers in Milan.
Stellantis sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -10.10% lower.
Iveco plunges -3.16% on intense selling.
Investors are selling as Saipem records a -2.26% fall.
Leonardo shows a negative session -2.08% down.
Lottomatica (+3.03%), Digital Value (+1.39%), D'Amico (+1.20%) and SOL (+1.12%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.
Alerion Clean Power sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -4.06% lower.
Troubled El.En falls -3.27%.
Ariston Holding is down, with a net loss of 3.24%.
