Acinque S.p.A. is a majority state-owned group resulting from the merger of the utility companies of Como, Monza, Lecco, Sondrio and Varese, with A2A as its main shareholder and industrial partner. It is organized into four operational units (Sales, Networks, Energy and Intelligent Technologies, Environment) and carries out, also through its subsidiaries, the following activities: sales of gas, electricity and related value-added services, energy efficiency, power generation from hydroelectric, photovoltaic and cogeneration plants, heat management, new innovative services and smart cities (e.g., installation of electrical columns and radio frequency networks), microgeneration, public lighting, district heating and parking; management of urban hygiene and thermal energy services, management of gas, electricity and water distribution services, and management of certain pharmacies in Sondrio.
