The new Equity Direct Distribution service makes it simpler for Italian citizens to invest in the real economy, through a simple, transparent and digital tool.
Seamless integration between the Optiq® trading platform of Borsa Italiana, part of the Euronext Group, and the trading platforms of the main domestic intermediaries, means that retail investors can participate in an Initial Public Offering (IPO) directly from their securities accounts.
They can now access the equity market at the time of the first issuance of a share, on equal terms with institutional investors. This gives them the opportunity to diversify their portfolio investments to match their risk-return profile.
The Equity Direct Distribution service streamlines the share offering procedure for retail investors, allowing companies choosing to list on Borsa Italiana to benefit from the savings of Italian citizens.
