thyssenKrupp AG is an industrial group organized around 5 areas of activity. Net sales break down by business area as follows:
- industrial materials distribution (39.2%): metals, alloys, minerals, coals and coke, plastic materials, etc. The group also offers material processing, production processes management, logistics and supply chain management services, etc.;
- production of flat carbon steel (28.4%);
- manufacture and sale of automotive and industrial components (18.4%);
- manufacture of shipbuilding systems (4.4%);
- other (9.6%).
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Germany (33.8%), the United States (15.5%), China (4.8%) and other (45.9%).
