Jan 19 2015 - 13:00

-       WisdomTree, new issuer on the Italian market

-       6 new instruments listed on ETFplus

-       Today ETFplus counts 13 issuers, 665 ETFs, and a total of 922 listed products

Today WisdomTree debuts on ETFplus as new issuer. The company has its headquarters in New York. During 2014, it acquired Boost, an ETPs issuer already on the market.

The arrival of WisdomTree expands ETFplus’s offer with 6 Equity ETFs (dividends) focused on emerging markets, EU and US companies, both small and large caps, thus confirming the central role of ETFplus. The listing of these new instruments brings to 665 the number of ETFs on ETFplus, which totals 922 listed products and 13 issuers. The market closed Y2014 with € 37.04 billion AUM. Also, ETFplus holds a leading position in Europe for the number of contracts (over 3 million) and turnover (€73.3 billion).

Pietro Poletto, Head of Fixed Income Markets of Borsa Italiana, declared:
“We are very pleased to welcome WisdomTree, in a moment of high market growth in terms of AUM and traded volumes. ETFplus is becoming increasingly a benchmark in Europe, where Borsa Italiana is leader for contracts traded on electronic platform. With these new ETfs, WisdomTree enriches further the offer for Italian institutional and retail investors, who are both looking for a growing exposure to various asset classes.”
