-       Now 16 issuers of open-end funds on Borsa Italiana

Borsa Italiana today welcomes four new issuers of open-end funds on ETFplus: 8a+ (1 Luxembourg-law product and 3 Italian-law products); European and Global Investments Ltd (8 products); Method Investments Sicav (2 products); Selectra Investments Sicav (4 products).

The segment dedicated to open-end funds (UCITS compliant), launched by Borsa Italiana on December 2014, now has over 100 listed products from 16 different issuers.

The dedicated segment means that open-end funds are accessible to all intermediaries that adhere both directly and indirectly to ETFplus. Institutional and retail investors can buy or sell these products daily, at a price equal to the NAV of the trading day, which is calculated and disclosed the following day. Contracts are settled through Monte Titoli at T+3.

Pietro Poletto, Head of Fixed Income Markets of Borsa Italian, declared:
“We are delighted to welcome four new issuers to our dedicated segments for open-end funds which now takes the total on Borsa Italiana to 100. This confirms the move by Borsa Italiana’s to use its market infrastructure in order to guarantee high transparency and a substantial reduction of costs for issuers. The platform offers a level of protection that is typical of a MIFID compliant regulated market, and represents a valid channel of distribution which integrates the existing traditional model”.
