www.borsaitaliana.it attracted a record 1.5 million unique visitors during October 2008 (+140% vs October 2007) and an average of 100,000 unique visitors (+53%) each day.

During the month, there were 34 millions registered page visits (+ 45%).

These results continue the trend of increased activity on the website in the last few years, and highlight that a million and half web users have confidence in the Borsa Italiana web site as a key information source on financial issues.

Bruno Siracusano, head of Borsa Italiana New Business Department, remarks that “those results confirm the authoritativeness and popularity of Borsa Italiana web site, which is being used more and more frequently to obtain data, information and documents on financial issues, offering a valuable service not only to the financial community but also to the whole web community”.

At the beginning of November there was a complete overhaul of the design and style of LSE Group’s web sites, as well as an update to the content. Since the end of October, the web sites of London Stock Exchange, Borsa Italiana, Cassa di Compensazione e Garanzia, Monte Titoli and Servizio Titoli all benefit from a consistent and more up-to-date look.
