Unification of MTA and MTAX markets will come into force

Starting from Monday 3 March 2008 the unification of the MTA and MTAX markets will come into force. This decision, according with issuers, intermediaries and investors, responds to the need of rationalize and optimize Borsa Italiana’s markets.

Starting from 3 March 2008 there will be a single market (MTA) divided into the three segments Blue Chip, STAR and Standard.

The companies currently listed on the MTAX market will be list on the MTA market, in the same segment as before the unification.

Born in 2005 MTAX market had progressively aligned its structure and organization to MTA.

As of 3 March 2008, issuers of financial instruments previously listed on the MTAX market will be required to comply with the disclosure requirements and rules of the MTA market.

The updated text of the Market Rules and accompanying Instructions, will be posted on Borsa Italiana’s website, www.borsaitaliana.it.
