BORSA ITALIANA’S ROAD SHOW 2006:
COMMENCING IN NEW YORK, 3 APRIL 2006

From New York to Paris, London and, last but not least, Tokyo: these are the four cities hosting the six events of this year’s Borsa Italiana international road show, organised to promote the Italian companies listed on Milan’s stock exchange before the international financial community.

The first event is the Italian Investor Conference, to be held in New York on 3 and 4 April next. During this event, American investors and analysts will have the opportunity to meet with 28 companies from the Blue Chip segment of Borsa Italiana.

This exhibition will include four round tables, dedicated to issues that are particularly current and relevant for the Italian economy, with participation by management of the attending companies, as well as by other speakers. The four issues to be discussed are: “The Italian Financial Services Industry”, “Global Italian Brands”, “Italy competing on the International Markets” and “Best practice in Corporate Governance: the new Italian Corporate Governance Code for listed companies”.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Directorate General for Economic Cooperation), the initiative optimises its partnership with four leading banks: Banca IMI, Intermonte, Mediobanca and Morgan Stanley.

Blue Chip stocks will then hold the stage once again in Paris on 16 May, where 15 companies will meet with French investors during the Italian Large & Mid Caps Conference, organised in collaboration with Cheuvreux-Gruppo Crédit Agricole.

On 24 May, back in New York, thirty companies from the STAR segment – comprising high-quality small and mid-caps with capitalisation of up to one billion euros – will be in the spotlight in the STAR Conference 2006 New York, which has a full programme of one-to-one meetings and group meetings. This second event in the United States will be organised with the major Italian and international banks.

On 23 June, London will host the Italian Mid Caps Conference, organised in collaboration with Merrill Lynch.

Subsequently, on 27 and 28 September, London will also host the STAR Conference 2006 London, now in its sixth year. Last year, some 53 companies and over 130 investors participated in this event, giving rise to more than 400 one-to-one meetings organised by the leading Italian and international banks.

The last stop for the road show will be Tokyo, Japan, where the Italian Investor Conference Tokyo is scheduled to take place on 3 and 4 October, in collaboration with Nomura. Several of the major Italian Blue Chip stocks will be present at this conference.

All of the above events will be sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the local Embassies.
