Rivelazioni - Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte

This edition, in collaboration with the Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte, was realized thanks to the commitment of ELITE Campania companies, the international program of Borsa Italiana S.p.A. born in 2012 in collaboration with Confindustria dedicated to companies with high growth potential. In particular, eight companies have adopted six works: D&D Italia SPA; Protom; Temi - GLS Naples; Cartesar; Epm; Pasell, Graded and Tecno. The project makes it possible to optimize the fundraising mechanism through the proposal of several works with different restoration costs, facilitating the relationship between patron and museum and simplifying the methods of donation. Borsa Italiana also promotes the project within its national and international network.

The Capodimonte Museum is one of the most important museum institutions in Europe, with an exhibition area of over 15,000 square meters and a heritage of about 47,000 works ranging from the fourteenth century to the present day.

The site was born as a hunting reserve of King Charles III and was the royal residence for three dynasties: the Bourbons, the French sovereigns Giuseppe Bonaparte and Gioacchino Murat and the Savoy after the unification of Italy.

The exceptional core group of Italian Renaissance painting was brought to Capodimonte in 1735 by Charles VII who inherited the renowned Farnese collection from his mother. Over the centuries, acquisitions, objects from churches and monasteries, bequests and donations, as well as works of contemporary art donated by artists and gallery owners have been added to the Farnese collection.

At Capodimonte you can find the masterpieces of artists of every pictorial school, the Tuscan, Venetian, Emilian, Neapolitan, Roman but also important foreign presences such as Pieter Brueghel. Many of these pieces are absolute and highly renowned masterpieces, such as Titian's Danae, Masaccio's Crucifixion, Caravaggio's Flagellation and Warhol's Vesuvius
