The Group Corporate Technology team is responsible for the identification and delivery of new technology products that support the LSEG’s corporate strategy, as well as the management of the Group’s existing infrastructure.

The Senior System Engineer is responsible for managing the LSEG core corporate systems including active directory, Citrix, VM and their associated environmental controls.

Key responsibilities

• Hands on work with Windows 2008 R2 Active Directory
• Core internal infrastructure (DNS, DHCP and WINS)
• Citrix Xenapp and Desktop
• Exchange 2010 and BES infrastructure
• Managing windows clustering
• Enterprise Vault
• Experience with VMware and other Virtualisation technologies
• Managing and deploying end point security across the infrastructure
• SQL and Oracle database management
• Knowledge of policy management and deployment tools
• Ensuring on- going service provision meets the requirements of the business and clients
• Change management. Interface with network resources and internal IT area to discuss and agree changes and service improvements
• Manage incident and problem resolution of service issues from a technical and functional perspective
• Create and initiate improvements in the overall environment- ability to work with new core technologies cross platform
• Build relationships internally and externally with key clients. Understand key client drivers and demands to improve service
• Own and manage delivery of key technology solutions and ensure testing and reporting is performed as required

Key skills:

• Degree level education or equivalent work experience
• Proven hands- on experience of Windows 2003/2008, Active Directory, VMWare, DNS, Citrix Xen Server and Xen Desktops, including servers, storage area networks
• Linux and open source skills highly desirable
• SQL Server, Oracle, Remedy and base networking skills desirable
• In-depth understanding of core technology solutions across multiple platforms
