European markets rally

News Image (Teleborsa) - European equity markets close on the plus side of the ledger. Piazza Affari also has a bullish session. On the US market, the S&P-500 trades upwards.

Caution prevails as EUR / USD continues the session slightly lower (-0.42%). Gold trades slightly up at 2,337 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil shows a timid gain of +0.29%.

The Spread between the Italian BTP and German Bund yields decreases, settling at +132 basis points, with the 10-year BTP yield at +3.88%.

Among the European markets, Frankfurt stands out, progressing +1.37%, a positive performance for London, which advances by a notable +0.75%, and Paris's +0.89% surge cheers investors.

In Piazza Affari, the FTSE MIB ends the day +0.91% up at 34,250 points; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share holds onto solid gains, ending the day at 36,418 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap is on a joyride (+1.56%); similarly, the FTSE Italia Star closes positive (+1.37%).

MPS Bank (+4.04%), Prysmian (+3.52%), Banca Popolare Sondrio (+3.03%) and Iveco (+2.72%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Tenaris reports the heaviest losses, ending the session -7.90% down.

Stmicroelectronics is struggling, -2.39% down.

Hera is modestly down, shedding -0.94%.

Ariston Holding (+5.26%), Webuild (+5.17%), The Italian Sea Group (+4.82%) and Ferragamo (+4.44%) are among Italy's top mid-cap stocks.

Comer Industries sees the heaviest sell-offs, finishing trade -1.78% lower.

Iren drifts -0.71% lower.
