Who we are

On 28 March 2013 SNR Denton combined with international law firm Salans and Canadian law firm Fraser Milner Casgrain (FMC) to create Dentons, an international law firm which, after combinations with McKenna & Aldridge in the US and 大成 in China, is the world’s largest law firm with more than 12,000 lawyers, in over 200 locations spanning more than 80 countries. Dentons’ Milan office opened on 5 October 2015, followed by the Rome office in July 2016.

Sustainability is becoming increasingly important to investors, financial institutions and companies, that are being called upon to adapt to new organizational and business models, also in the light of growing regulatory developments in this area.
To support clients in this important transition, in Italy we have structured a multi-practice service unit composed of professionals focusing on four different areas:
Sustainable Finance and Investments; Energy Transition; Corporate Governance; Enviroment.
Here below two significant ESG deals:
- Advising on the issuance of the first green bond by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance for a total amount of Euro 8.5 billion;
- Assisting in the issuance of a Euro 350 million green bond under its EMTN program. The green bond has been subscribed in private placement by the European Investment Bank. This is the first subscription of a green bond by the EIB as part of the Green Bond Purchase Program.
