Sustainable and Resilient Supply Chains

Strategies for a Changing Global Landscape

Wednesday 16 September

Workshop   |   Language: Italian   |   Time: 2:30pm  - 5.30pm   |   Vemue: Palazzo Mezzanotte, Milan

Abstract

The workshop will explore the role of supply chains in building sustainable and resilient business models in a global environment shaped by geopolitical tensions, market fragmentation and growing exposure to operational, climate-related and regulatory risks.
Supply chains are emerging as a critical area of vulnerability: extreme weather events, cyber risks and disruptions in raw material sourcing are increasingly driving the frequency and impact of business interruption. At the same time, the evolving European regulatory landscape combines new due diligence and transparency requirements with ongoing simplification efforts, creating uncertainty around scope and timelines.
Against this backdrop, lead firms play a central role in driving resilience strategies across value chains, while SMEs remain a key but more exposed component, often constrained by capital and capability gaps.
