FINANCE FOR FINE ARTS

Borsa Italiana, a great supporter of Italian excellences, in 2014 has launched a cultural project named  Finance For Fine Arts, whose aim was creating an efficient model of collaboration among public and private sector, to support Italian heritage through the Art Bonus.

The project is based on the conviction that the oeuvres’ restoration itself is not enough and it needs to go hand in hand with the improvement of visibility for collective enjoyment.

In the first stage of the project, the London Stock Exchange Foundation has financed  the restoration and the digitalization of Conte Antonio di Porcia e Brugnera by Titian, belonging to Pinacoteca di Brera. Later on, other  100 works of art from the same collection have been digitalized.

In the second stage, Borsa Italiana together with the Italian Minister of Heritage and Cultural Activities and Tourism Dario Franceschini launched  the initiative Rivelazioni, aimed at promoting the cultural patronage among companies. The artworks selected by the former director of Pinacoteca di Brera Sandrina Bandera have been adopted by some Italian companies, who have financed their restoration and digitalization.

Following the success of this program, an other important italian museum has been engaged:  the venetian Gallerie dell’Accademia.

Coherently with the aim of the project, Borsa Italiana wants to promote this restored artistic heritage through his own Art Gallery BIG, situated inside Palazzo Mezzanotte in Milan.
