Markets on standby. Piazza Affari in good shape

News Image (Teleborsa) - Caution prevails today on the European markets. However, the Milan stock market's performance is excellent, in striking contrast to the rest of Europe.

EUR / USD trades fractionally lower in this session, shedding -0.23% so far. Gold has a bad day, ending the session -0.71% lower at 3,317.9 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil loses a lot of ground, retracing by -1.1% to trade at 61.37 dollars per barrel.

The Spread declines to settle at +107 basis points, a reduction of 3 BPs, while the Italian BTP 10-year yield is +3.53%.

Among the markets of the Old Continent, resilient Frankfurt registers a small increase of 0.50%, London is essentially flat, offering a scant -0.07%, and Paris essentially treads water (+0.12%).

In Milan, the FTSE MIB rises +0.85%, to 37,786 points, continuing its bullish run of five consecutive gains since last Wednesday; similarly, steady gains for the FTSE Italia All-Share as it reaches 40,063 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap climbs +1.04%; similarly, the FTSE Italia Star trades moderately higher (+0.61%).

Mediobanca (+3.27%), Stellantis (+2.60%), Leonardo (+2.49%) and MPS Bank (+2.29%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Maire (+4.86%), Alerion Clean Power (+3.60%), SOL (+3.34%) and De'Longhi (+3.31%) top the ranks of Milan's mid-caps.

Newlat Food reports the heaviest losses, currently suffering from a -1.04% down.
