Europe reined in

News Image (Teleborsa) - Just like the other major markets in Europe, the Milan stock exchange goes nowhere. On the US exchange the S&P-500 moves just above neutral (+0.69%).

EUR / USD trades slightly up at 1.085. Gold makes timid gains, progressing by +0.22%. Light Sweet Crude Oil rises +1.15% to 77.75 dollars per barrel.

The Spread is broadly on the previous day's level as it settles at +128 basis points, while the Italy ten-year BTP is at +3.84%.

Among the major European bourses, Frankfurt is stuck at the previous session's levels, London is definitely weaker with a -0.26% decrease, and it's a stalemate for Paris, which is trading around the flatline.

In Milan, Piazza Affari closes at previous levels, reporting a +0.07% change; similarly, the FTSE Italia All-Share (Milan) hovers around previous levels, closing at 36,694 points.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap closes sideways (+0.08%); on the same trend direction, the FTSE Italia Star lacks direction (+0.09%).

Iveco (+3.17%), Unipol (+2.86%), Poste Italiane (+1.69%) and Moncler (+1.64%) top the ranks of Milan's large-caps.

Enel reports the heaviest losses, ending the session -0.76% down.

MPS Bank slips just under the flatline with a -0.75% decrease.

ENI contracts moderately by -0.72%.

Stmicroelectronics is subdued, shedding -0.66%.

Philogen (+4.11%), Maire (+3.32%), Rai Way (+3.27%) and D'Amico (+2.49%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

Digital Value reports the heaviest losses, ending the session -4.19% down.

GVS plunges -3.42%.

Industrie De Nora declines by a notable -3.31%.

Comer Industries is struggling, -2.06% down.
