Dramatic losses in Milan

News Image (Teleborsa) - A dramatic session at the Borsa Italiana, which records heavy losses. The other European bourses are sharply down.

EUR / USD is essentially stable, finishing at 1.157. Gold trades slightly up at 3,397.3 dollars per ounce. Light Sweet Crude Oil gains +1.81% amid a flurry of buy orders.

The Spread steps up to add 1 basis points, reaching +90 BPs, with the BTP 10-year yield at +3.41%.

Among the major European bourses, Frankfurt plunges -1.12%, tottering London dips -0.4%, and Paris declines by a notable -0.97%.

A dismal day for the Borsa Italiana as the FTSE MIB declines -1.49%; similarly, a gloomy day for the FTSE Italia All-Share, which is trading at 41,766 points, down -1.43%.

The FTSE Italia Mid Cap trades negative (-0.87%); on the same line, the FTSE Italia Star spirals down (-0.82%).

Brunello Cucinelli (+2.48%), Saipem (+1.62%), Tenaris (+1.05%) and ENI (+0.60%) among the best performing blue chips in Piazza Affari.

Unicredit has the worst performance, with a -3.48% down.

Banca Popolare Sondrio is struggling, -2.84% down.

Bper suffers losses of 2.80%.

Investors hurry to sell as Intesa Sanpaolo declines -2.62%.

D'Amico (+2.51%), Piaggio (+1.57%), Philogen (+0.75%) and Rai Way (+0.68%) are among the best performing stocks in the FTSE Italia Mid Cap basket.

Ariston Holding has the worst performance, with a -3.42% down.

Caltagirone plunges -1.98% on intense selling.

Investors are selling as Ascopiave records a -1.95% fall.

Lottomatica shows a negative session -1.87% down.
