Zegna Q1 revenue 470.2 mln eur, up 2.5%
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 30 apr - The Italian fashion group Ermenegildo Zegna said it generated revenue of 470.2 million euros in the first quarter, up by a reported 2.5% compared to the year earlier and reflecting 7.4% organic growth. By sales channel, direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales rose by 7.8% to 371.9 million euros, with organic growth of 14.2% and all three group brands posting strong results. Wholesale revenue instead fell by 19.1% to 64.3 million euros, with a 17.0% organic contraction, as Zegna increasingly focuses its efforts on the DTC channel.
By brand, Zegna brand revenue rose by 5.9% in the quarter, with 11.3% organic growth and Tom Ford Fashion revenue grew by a reported 0.4% and 5.4% on an organic basis. On the other hand, Thom Browne revenue fell by 9.4%, with an organic decline of 3.0%.
On a geographical basis, Zegna pointed to positive organic sales growth performances across all regions. The Americas region outperformed other regions, with 9.6% reported and 17.5% organic sales growth while the Greater China region.
