Webuild places 500 mln eur bond; buys back 121 mln eur in debt

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 8 mag - Italian construction group Webuild said that it placed 500 million euros worth of bonds maturing in May 2032 and bought back 121 million euros in bonds maturing in 2027.

Demand for the bond issuance totalled 2.5 billion euros and involved over 250 investors.

As a result of the strong demand, Webuild increased the size of the issuance to 500 million euros from 400 million initially.

The bond's annual yield was set at 4.5% against an initial guidance of 5%, the company noted.

The transaction extends the average duration of Webuild's debt by pushing over 90% of maturities to September 2028 and beyond. The group fixed-rate debt remains above 95% of the total, with an average cost of 5.1%, broadly in line with pre-transaction levels.

It was Webuild's first issue with a double BB+ rating following the upgrade assigned by Standard & Poor's on.
