Volkswagen Q1 deliveries 2.05 mln units, down 4% yr/yr
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 13 apr - In the first quarter of 2026, the German automotive group Volkswagen delivered 2.05 million vehicles globally, down 4% from a year ago.
In Europe, deliveries rose by 4.7% to 983,800 vehicles, driven by a 7.6% growth in Central and Eastern Europe, a 4.2% rise in Western Europe, and a 4.8% increase in the home market of Germany.
Deliveries to South America rose 7% to 147,900 vehicles, with 14.4% growth in the key market of Brazil.
In North America, deliveries fell 13.3% to 205,500 units, dragged down by a 20.5% slump in the US due to a challenging environment characterized by the tariff situation as well as changes in regulations.
In the Asia-Pacific region, deliveries fell by 14.1% to 618,900 units. In a significantly declining Chinese total market, the Volkswagen group recorded a slight gain in market share in the first quarter despite a 14.8% drop in deliveries. The core Volkswagen brand.
