(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 6 mag - Uber Technologies said its revenue in the first quarter grew 14% to 13.203 billion dollars from 11.533 billion the same period a year earlier. Analysts expected 13.33 billion dollars.

The ride-hailing group said its gross bookings in the quarter rose 25% from the same period a year ago to 53.720 billion dollars.

Adjusted earnings in the three months ended March 31 were 0.72 dollars per share from 0.50 per share a year earlier.

Analysts expected 0.71 dollars per share.

The California-based company said in the second quarter it expected gross bookings of 56.25-57.75 billion dollars, representing growth of 18-22% on a constant-currency basis.

Adjusted EPS in the period are seen at 0.78-0.82 dollars,.
