Borgers was accused of massive fraud by SEC last week (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - New York, 06 May - Former US President Donald Trump's media and technology company said it had fired BF Borgers after US regulators accused the accounting firm of 'massive fraud.' "Effective May 3, 2024, Trump Media & Technology Group Corp... dismissed BF Borgers CPA PC as its independent registered public accounting firm," Trump Media & Technology Group said in a filing with US market regulator SEC.

It said it had replaced the firm with Marchal & Cooper.

"BF Borgers' audit reports on the Company's consolidated financial statements as of and for the fiscal years ended December 31, 2023 and December 31, 2022 did not contain an adverse opinion or a disclaimer of opinion and were not qualified or modified as to audit scope or accounting principles," it said.

Last Friday the SEC charged BF Borgers and its owner with widespread fraud, informing public companies using Borgers they would have to find another accounting firm.
