Net written premiums rose 8% to 10.182 billion dollars.

The group had a reported return on equity of 18.0% and a core return on equity of 15.4%.

The book value per share of was 109.28 dollars, up 9% year on year, and the adjusted book value per share rose 8% to 125.53 dollars.

The board declared a 5% increase in the regular quarterly dividend to 1.05 dollars per share.
