Toyota FY sales 45.095 trln yen, up 21.4%

Sees FY25 net 3.57 trln yen (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Tokyo, 08 May - Japanese automaker Toyota said that in the full year ended in March sales rose 21.4% to 45.095 trillion yen as unit sales in Japan and overseas increased 7% to 9.443 million units.

Unit sales in Japan fell by 3.7% while overseas they rose 10.3%.

Operating income rose 96.4% to 5.353 trillion yen while net income jumped 101.7% to 4.945 trillion.

For the year ending in March 2025, Toyota expects sales to rise to 46 trillion yen while operating income is seen falling to 4.3 trillion and the bottom line to 3.57 trillion.

"Through the transformation into a mobility company and continuing to work on the evolution of the automobile, our goal is to contribute to creating a mobility society filled with smiling faces. We would also like to work together with many like-minded partners to achieve a new industrial structure. We believe that the key to these aims is to increase the mobility of energy and data, thereby increasing the value of mobility," Toyota said.

"Looking ahead to a future supported by electricity and hydrogen, we would like to support the creation of a society based on renewable energy in which cars serve as a medium for transporting energy, and also use mobility's value created through data to further enrich our customers' lives.".
