TotalEnergies, Aramco refinery shuts down after damage due to Iran conflict

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 10 apr - French energy major TotalEnergies said the refinery complex of its Satorp joint venture with Saudi Aramaco was affected by incidents that occurred during the night of April 7 to 8 due to the conflict in the Middle East, causing damage to one of the refinery's two processing trains.

No casualties were reported. As a safety precaution, the units were shut down. An assessment of the consequences for the refinery's operations is currently underway, it said.

TotalEnergies is continuing to monitor the evolution of the situation on the ground and provide an update in case of material change.

Aramco owns 62.5% of the Satorp platform, and TotalEnergies.

the remaining 37.5%.
