Thomson Reuters Q1 adj EPS 1.11 usd, up 32%

Up FY revenue guidance (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Toronto, 02 May - The Canadian media group Thomson Reuters said that in the first quarter diluted earnings per share fell 33% to 1.06 US dollars while adjusted EPS rose 32% to 1.11 dollars.

Revenue rose 8% to 1.885 billion dollars.

Free cash flow rose 101% to 271 million dollars.

The company said that it "moderately raised its 2024 outlook for total and organic revenue growth due its strong performance in the first quarter." For 2024, Thomson Reuters now expects total revenue growth of 6.5-7.0%, against a previous forecast of about 6.5%, and organic revenue growth of 6.0-6.5%, against about 6.0% previously.

Thomson Reuters still expects an adjusted EBITDA margin of about 38%.

In the second quarter, the company expects organic revenue growth to be approximately 6% and adjusted EBITDA margin to be about 36%.
