Syngenta FY EBITDA 4.4 bln usd, up 13%
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 31 mar - Syngenta Group, the Swiss agrochemical group owned by ChemChina, said it generated an EBITDA of 4.4 billion dollars in 2025, up by 13% compared to the year earlier and 17% higher at constant exchange rates.
The EBITDA margin expanded by 1.9 percentage points to 15.4%, as a result of a higher margin business portfolio, cost management and operational efficiency efforts.
Syngenta said that its full year 2025 sales amounted to 28.4 billion dollars, down by 1% both on a reported and constant-currency basis. It added that sales would have increased by 2% excluding the impact of its strategic reduction in lower-margin grain trading sales, which reduced its top line by 1 billion dollars.
For the fourth quarter alone, group EBITDA fell by 16%, or 19% at constant rates, to 0.9 billion dollars. Sales for the quarter were 7.6 billion dollars, up a reported.
2% but 1% lower at constant rates.
