Super Micro Computer shares slump after chip smuggling charges

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 20 mar - Shares in Super Micro Computer slumped in early trade after federal prosecutors charged the company's co-founder and two employees with smuggling Nvidia chips into China.

The three people were indicted for diverting 2.5 billion dollars worth of servers with Nvidia chips inside to China in violation of US export laws.

At 1352 GMT shares in the company were down 26.7%.
