Stellantis, Dongfeng plan European JV

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 20 mag - The automaker Stellantis and its Chinese peer Dongfeng announced plans to form a European joint venture 51% owned by Stellantis for shared sales & distribution, manufacturing, purchasing and engineering activities.

According to the companies, the joint venture would take responsibility for the sales and distribution of Dongfeng's Voyah-branded vehicles in designated markets in Europe.

The partners also envisage the potential production of Dongfeng new energy vehicles (NEVs) at the Rennes plant in France, in line with European regulations and Made-in-Europe requirements.

The two companies recently announced the production via their longtime China-based Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile (DPCA) joint venture of all-new Peugeot and Jeep models in Wuhan, China for the domestic market and export, starting in.
