Shanghai shares close higher despite geopolitical uncertainty
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 22 apr - Chinese share prices closed higher despite ongoing diplomatic volatility in the Middle East.
Although a temporary ceasefire extension by US president Donald Trump provided some relief, the mood remained cautious after proposed negotiations hit a snag following Iran's decision to pull back from mediated talks in Pakistan.
Gains were led by tech and industrial stocks.
The Shanghai Composite index rose 0.52% to close at 4,106.26.
