
Shanghai shares close higher as investors await stimulus
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 17 apr - Chinese share prices ended higher, as investors monitored ongoing US-China trade tensions and looked for signs of further stimulus from Beijing to support growth.
The market gained after stronger than expected first quarter GDP data, released yesterday, though analysts remain concerned that growth may slow significantly in the second quarter.
Gains were led by property stocks, as the Shanghai Composite.
rose 0.13% to close at 3,280.34 points.
