Sentiment of Italian equity traders worsens

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 11 set - The sentiment of Italian traders worsened due to ongoing tension in the Strait of Hormuz and the increase in oil prices as well as concern about inflation and pressure in the bond market, according to an Assiom Forex survey carried out in August in collaboration with Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor.

According to the survey, 35% of Assiom Forex members questioned expect stock markets to decline in the next six months against 25% in July.

In March, 26% of panelists expect stock markets to rise against 31% in July. Meanwhile, 39% anticipate markets to remain steady over the next six months against 44% in the previous month.

'The August survey shows a slight decline in investor sentiment regarding the stock markets, following the gradual recovery in confidence seen in previous months, while Italian and European indices remained largely unchanged,' commented.

Massimo Mocio, the president of Assiom Forex.
