(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 8 apr - RPM International said its net income in the third quarter was 51.4 million dollars, or 0.40 dollars per share, compared with 52 million, or 0.40 per share, in the same period last year.

On an adjusted basis, earnings jumped 62.9% to 0.57 dollars per share. Analysts expected 0.35 dollars per share.

Sales in the three months ended February 28 rose 8.9% to 1.61 billion dollars. Wall Street expected 1.55 billion dollars.

The Ohio-based coatings, sealants and building materials company reiterated its fourth-quarter sales guidance of mid-single-digit sales growth and low- to high-single digit.
