Renault Q1 revenue 12.530 bln eur, up 7.3%
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 23 apr - The French car maker Renault said that in the first quarter revenue totalled 12.530 billion euros, up a reported 7.3% and 8.8% at constant exchange rates.
Automotive revenue stood at 10.807 billion euros, up 6.5% and up 8.0% at constant exchange rates and mobilize financial services amounted to 1.723 billion euros, up 13.0% and 14.1% at constant exchange rates.
The group recorded 546,183 unit sales in the first quarter, down 3.3% year on year, impacted by one-off issues at Dacia, while sales for the Renault and Alpine brands grew.
Electric vehicle sales were up 20.9% and represented 17.0% of the group's sales in the quarter and hybrid vehicle sales reached 35.3% of sales.
Renault confirmed its full year guidance.
It anticipates a group operating margin around 5.5% of revenue, with the operating margin higher in the second half of the year than in the first six months.
