Reckitt Benckiser Q1 revenue 3.737 bln pounds, down 4.6%
Q1 revenue up 1.5% like for like (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - London, 24 Apr - The UK consumer goods company Reckitt Benckiser said that in the first quarter sales fell a reported 4.6% to 3.737 billion pounds reflecting 5.7% currency headwinds.
Like for like, revenue rose 1.5% with a 7.1% increase in Hygiene, 1.0% growth at Health, offset by a 9.9% contraction at Nutrition.
Volumes dipped 0.5% weighed down by a 9.4% slump at Nutrition and a 0.1% dip at Health, while in Hygiene volumes rose 2.9%.
The price/mix was a positive 2.0% for the group, with 4.2% at Hygiene, 1.1% at Health, and a negative 0.5% at Nutrition.
Reckitt confirmed its outlook for 2024 with adjusted operating profit growing ahead of net revenue. It still sees revenue and profit growth weighed to the second half as the group expects to lap high OTC comparatives from the first quarter of last year and see the majority of the rebasing of its US Nutrition business in the first half.
