Paramount bid for Warner 'doesn't pass sniff test', says Netflix co-CEO
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 23 gen - Netflix is on track to win the backing of Warner Bros Discovery shareholders for its 82.7 billion dollar offer for the company's film and television studios, Netflix co-chief executive Greg Peters said, adding Paramount's rival bid 'doesn't pass the sniff test'.
In an interview with the Financial Times, Peters said only a 'very small' number of WBD shares had been tendered in support of Paramount's hostile 108 billion dollar offer for the entire company.
Netflix this week rejigged its offer making it all cash.
Peters told the FT the revised offer provided 'greater deal certainty' than Paramount's bid, which is part funded with 55 billion dollars of debt, and demonstrated the strength of.
Netflix's balance sheet.
