Orsted sells French business to Engie

No financial details released (Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Copenhagen, 29 Apr - The Danish renewable energy company Orsted said that it reached an agreement to sell its French onshore wind and solar business to the power generator Engie.

No financial details were released.

Under the deal, Engie will acquire Ostwind International, Ostwind Engineering and their subsidiaries. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2024.

The French business has 54 MW in operation and a further 24 MW of wind projects under construction. It also is continuing to advance a wider pipeline of projects.

With the divestment,, Orsted will have no remaining activities in France.
