(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 22 apr - The Nordic bank Nordea said that in the first quarter earnings per share were 0.36 euros, up from 0.35 euros a year ago.

Total operating income slipped 2% to 2.910 billion euros but the operating profit grew 2% to 1.634 billion.

Nordea's return on equity for the quarter was 15.4%, compared with 15.7% a year ago, while the the cost-to-income ratio was 45.5% for the quarter, against 43.7%.

The bank's outlook for 2026 remains unchanged. Nordea expects a return on equity of greater than 15% and a cost-to-income.
