Nissan now expects FY operating profit of 50 yen vs 60 bln loss previously

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 27 apr - Japanese automotive group Nissan said it was now expecting to post an operating profit of 50 billion yen compared to a previously expected 60 billion yen loss, reflecting a one time positive impact from changes to US emissions regulations, ongoing cost reductions, and favorable foreign exchange effects.

Net revenue is now expected to reach 12 trillion yen, supported by favorable foreign exchange movements. Previously it was forecast at 11.9 trillion yen.

Net profit is also expected to improve, narrowing the loss from 650 billion yen to 550 billion yen.

Automotive free cash flow is expected to be positive in the second half, as planned. Automotive net cash is forecast to exceed 1 trillion yen at yearend, reflecting a strong cash.
