(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 16 gen - M&T Bank said net income available to common shareholders in the fourth quarter was 759 million dollars, or 4.67 dollars per share, compared to 681 million, or 3.86 per share, in the same period last year.

The New York State-based lender said net interest income in the three months increased to 1.779 billion dollars from 1.728 billion the year before, while the net interest margin increased to 3.69% from 3.58%.

The CET 1 ratio - a measure of financial strength - stood at 10.84% at the end of the period compared to 11.68% a year.
