(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 5 mag - MSA Safety said it had agreed to buy Autronica Fire & Security from private-equity firm Sentinel Capital Partners for around 555 million dollars.

MSA, a provider of safety products, said the acquisition expanded its global fire and gas detection capabilities.

growing its addressable market into a growing 3 billion dollar plus market, Norway-based Autronica was bought in 2024 by Sentinel, a New York-based midmarket private-equity firm. It has about 550 employees with sales of around 160 million dollars.

The deal is expected to close in the third quarter.
