(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Milano, 7 mag - The US fast food chain McDonald's said that in the first quarter ended March 31 diluted earnings per share stood at 2.78 dollars, up a reported 7% year on year and 2% in constant currencies.

Adjusted diluted EPS totalled 2.83 dollars, up a reported 6% and 1% in constant currencies.

Revenue rose 9%, or a currency-neutral 4%, to 6.517 billion dollars. Global comparable sales increased 3.8%.

Systemwide sales increased 11%, or 6% in constant currencies.
